Can I use a normal 9V adapter? Why 18V?

Yes. A standard Boss style 9v center negative adapter is perfect.
About 18V, all of them except the Oversaturated Market can run using an 18V adapter (also center negative). Higher headroom from extra voltage is something I really value, so I want to make it a feature on every pedal that I can. On my pedals, it’s probably most useful for giving extra headroom for the delay (Head Full) and using up that pesky 18V spot on your power supply.

As for recommendations, it’s up to you. If you can, try anywhere inbetween the two voltages listed for the pedal. Higher voltage means higher internal headroom (more space for complex waveforms and loud signals) and a more “open” gain character on distortions. Don’t use higher voltage than is stated in the description though - that’s being silly.

Is Stripe (the payment method) safe?

Yes. I also do Paypal if you prefer that :)

Why is shipping to the US (and other places) expensive?

I’m not entirely sure, if I had to guess then it would be customs and the general largeness of the US. I use Royal Mail who then hand it to USPS - so you can guarantee no Fedex damage, or UPS playing knock a door run.

How frequently are you asked questions?

Not very frequently.

Why is my pee green?
